Brunch Around the World Brings Global Brunch Crawl to Uptown

Uptown Columbia is gearing up for a neighborhood-wide cultural and culinary celebration with the upcoming “Brunch Around the World” event on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The event is free to attend, with food and drinks available for purchase, allowing guests to sample global cuisines at their own pace in one afternoon. 

STEP 1: STOP AT ONE OF THESE 9 UPTOWN BUSINESSES AND PICK UP A PASSPORT: 
Curiosity Coffee Bar: Mexico
The War Mouth: United Kingdom 
Gardener’s Outpost: Germany 
Peddler and Maker’s Market: Colombia 
Indah Coffee: Asia 
Il Focolare: Italy 
Rambo’s Fat Cat Biscuits: Caribbean 
Vino Garage: France 
NOMA Bistro: Syria 

STEP 2: VISIT EACH LOCATION & ENJOY A FREE ACTIVITY, PURCHASE A BITE, SIP ON A GLASS OF WINE OR HAVE A CUP OF COFFEE 
Activities & Features: 
• Free Mexican wine and coffee tasting at Curiosity Coffee Bar 
• Special UK menu items at The War Mouth 
• Free German wine tasting at Gardener’s Outpost 
• French-themed food and wine specials at Vino Garage 
• Spaghett cocktail special at Il Focolare 
• Caribbean-Inspired Menu Items at Rambo Fat Cat Biscuits 
• “Make Your Own Mini Worry Doll” station at Peddler and Maker’s Market

Many of the above locations will be creating dishes as their global destination, along with some locations hosting a food truck to represent.

STEP 3: STOP INSIDE EACH PLACE AND GET A PASSPORT STAMP 
Stop inside each place for a passport stamp (food trucks WILL NOT have a stamp). 

STEP 4: FILL OUT AND SUBMIT THE PAGE IN YOUR PASSPORT AT YOUR LAST LOCATION
Make sure you include your contact info! This enters you into the UPTOWN raffle to win gift cards and merch from your favorite Uptown Businesses. Winners to be contacted by June 14th.

“This event is about celebrating the cultural diversity within our own city and supporting the small businesses that make Uptown Columbia such a vibrant place,” said Greg Slattery, a representative of the Uptown Columbia Association, the local business collective organizing the event. “We’re excited to offer a free-to-attend dining and cultural experience that’s delicious while supporting walking around the neighborhood.”

The event is walkable, family-friendly, and offers a casual way to explore new cultures and cuisines without leaving Columbia. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or just curious, join us on Sunday, June 1st, from 11 AM to 3 PM for a brunch experience that spans continents and brings the whole community together.
